I am so happy we didn't have to tape off anything to spray! It was mildly complicated to use but it has a crazy long working time so you can go back and fix small things like dog hair that landed in it. I would recommend extra tape over the hole or maybe a piece of cardboard taped in the hole as I did have to taco fold a pretty big piece of paint that went in and pull out with tweezers. It took just over 36 hrs to fully cure and we gave an extra 12 just in case. The paint is beautiful white and hard as a rock. I am so happy that we didn't have to lug this massive tub out to replace. The only mistake we made was the pour on the front...that little lip that we have but most tubs don't dripped for like and hour and we kept having to catch before it ran on the bottom front part. I would suggest to watch the video and follow to rules exactly. It was disgusting with the enamel worn through in some spots as shown in the photo. It had a few layers of paint that had to be removed first. The product is odorless and easy to work. I viewed a few YouTube videos and then followed the instructions carefully. The self leveling properties are great for producing a smooth glossy finish. After the initial application I was back to it every 2 hours or so to push the product from the drain back up the sides and to pick out dog hairs that drifted in. 12 hours in total. Some of the excess was used to refinish an old kitchen drain board. This is more expensive than some alternatives but I think well worth it. Originally I planned to replace the unit but realized they are difficult to find so I started researching refinishing options. When I found this product it sounded like just what I needed. Take the cleaning and prep instructions seriously and be ready to work quickly. I have used other refinishing kits in the past but none that flowed and self leveled the way this does. The product is not difficult to work with but have everything you need handy. Make sure to cover surfaces that may be in danger of inadvertent splatters or spills. It is very difficult to remove once dry.
